Spravato is for adults with treatment-resistant depression. Refer a patient who fits any of the following.
Has major depressive disorder and has not responded to two or more antidepressant trials at an adequate dose and duration.
Has MDD with acute suicidal ideation or behavior and needs rapid intervention.
Cannot tolerate or prefers not to take a daily oral antidepressant.
Needs faster relief than oral antidepressants typically provide.

As of January 2025, Spravato is approved as a monotherapy for treatment-resistant depression. Your patient no longer needs to be on a daily oral antidepressant to be eligible, which opens the door for many more patients.

We do not keep a waitlist. Once we have the referral and confirm benefits, we schedule promptly and contact your patient within one business day.
Do you handle insurance and prior authorization?
Yes. We manage the full insurance process for treatment, including prior authorization and benefits verification. We will also review any expected out-of-pocket costs with patients before starting care so there are no surprises.
Will I stay involved in my patient’s care?
Yes. You continue medication management as appropriate, and we send progress updates. We coordinate with you rather than take over the relationship.
What documentation should I send?
The referral form covers it: diagnosis, prior antidepressant trials, current medications, relevant risk and safety history, and insurance. A recent progress note is helpful but optional.
Can a patient who is not on a daily antidepressant qualify?
Yes. Following the 2025 monotherapy approval, eligible patients can receive Spravato without a concurrent oral antidepressant.
